Richard Cull

Chief Investment Officer

I’m Richard Cull, the Chief Investment Officer for Centric Advisors, a rapidly growing financial services organization that includes Centric Wealth, Centric Retirement and Centric Partners.

The always interesting world of finance began for me at the age of 13 when I moved next door to an inspector for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) that traveled Texas in a three-piece suit auditing banks.  Years later after my service in the Army and two years in pre-business, my focus turned from banking when I had my first investment class. While still grounded in math and discipline, the field of investments seemed far more dynamic and exciting. Early in my senior year, I was fortunate to be hired as investment analyst and began bridging the gap between theory and practice. Working directly with Senior Portfolio Manager John Leavy, I was given first-hand accounts of every bull/ bear market since 1966 while managing $800 million for 30 institutional clients.

Completing the rigorous Chartered Financial Analysis (CFA) program in 2001, my attention began to turn to investing for individuals. Dramatic changes in the retirement landscape meant the majority of Americans became responsible for their own portfolios (IRA’s & 401k’s). Personal investment questions from friends around this time reenforced my view that channeling my experience into helping “average investors” should be my professional goal.

I currently analyze securities, monitor economic trends, build holistic portfolios, and head up the Investment Committee at Centric Advisors. I love to impart the decades of experience and investment discipline to Centric’s advisors and clients.
